I have been writing about Lanvin and H&M collaboration since dunno when and today was the day and watching the craziness of shoppers i really felt i can do nothing but pity them...
I am not against this collaboration at all, am not against shopping in H&M but come on guys, if H&M is selling Lanvin, it is still H&M and don't think you own a Lanvin garment...IT IS STILL H&M quality and price...
What is H&M and many other commercial brands about but copying those big names and how many times did you went there and wondered doesn't this dress look like the one we saw on the runway at X brand??? It has always been this and this time it didn't change much, the only change is that the Bing Name himself gave his approval to be copied and signed the copies because he knows many loves him and can't afford to buy his designs so why not reach them, give them some satisfaction by giving them similar designs in a very cheap price.
Not only people where queuing outside the shops but also online on H&M web page to make their e-shopping and suddenly at the awaited time, the site went down because of the traffic and people went crazy about that and start tweeting about how bad H&M is and how bad their customer service is and stuff like that (photos coming next)
H&M is famous for its collaborations, having previously paired up with Karl Lagerfeld, Jimmy Choo, Metthew williamson, Stella McCartney and even Madonna and people are getting more and more crazy about these special collections they make.
Bravo H&M. The funny part is that last year H&M had some special men shoes in blue and red and black and they weren't signed by anyone else but the brand and they couldn't sell them so during the sales period they were at 9 euros (100 of them there) and no one bought them and this year they have similar ones with Lanvin limited edition and they are sold out in some shops :)
