It's easy to get behind an event where instead of (I should say as well as, there was food too) canapes, they pass makeup around the room on silver trays! Such was the case at the Marcelle and Annabelle Beauty Premiere event that happened last week in Toronto to introduce the new products coming up for the spring! You should have seen the girls attack these trays - like a pack of rabid dogs spying a lame antelope - if only Animal Planet had been available to film, it would have made a great documentary!
So what's in the works for spring? From Annabelle are Big Show lipglosses and Glitterama liners in fun new colours and from Marcelle - a new day, night and eye cream, makeup remover, BB Cream and mascara! Stay tuned for more details as they become available!
You won't be surprised to know that my favourite part of the event was custom designing my own lipgloss!
You just picked 4 or more of these shades which were then mixed together and inserted in a tube!
Everyone got 2 tubes of their custom colour - the front one is mine which I have lovingly named Slutty Beauty Crazed Coral - it has a nice ring, no?! Donna Marie -
MakeupbyDonnaMarie wanted to be slutty too, so we traded one of our glosses to each other - I'm sure she named hers something boring like "Donna Marie" so I'm just going to pep it up for her and change it to "Berry Yourself in Donna Marie" (you're welcome DM)!
All in all, it was a wonderful evening! I loved catching up with all the Toronto bloggers that I just don't get to see enough of, watching Elaine get drunk, hearing about all of the crazy/stupid/illegal things that Fiona has been doing and laughing when certain people (surprising not Meredith) who took too much makeup, had it all fall out of their purse!
Many thanks to our hostess with the mostest - my PR bestie Isabel - and by mostest I mean cleavage of course, it's an absolute miracle that she didn't end up flashing the whole joint - or maybe she did and I just missed it!
