October 2016 Empties

Alrighty, I'm back to writing these ahead of time as I use up products which makes my life SO MUCH EASIER like... firstly I remember the product better and secondly I don't have to do as much at month's end

1. Sheet Masks Galore
- nu-pore Collagen Essence Green Tea Facial Tissue Mask - This mask smells so good! It left my skin feeling really refreshed, soothed, and hydrated. I quite liked it.
-Skin79 Fresh Garden Mask in Honey- I have to say I wish this had a more intense honey scent to it but it did a nice job of hydrating my skin.
-Skin79 Fresh Garden Mask in Pearl - This was a pretty nice mask - it left my skin with a nice glow, hydration, and smoothness.
-Skin79 Fresh Garden Mask in Glacial Water - My favorite mask out of the fresh garden series. It's very refreshing, soothing, cooling, and hydrating.
- Skin79 Watermelon Girl Fruit Mask - This is a really nice hydrating/refreshing mask but it doesn't really smell like watermelon.
-Skin79 Pomegranate Girl Fruit Mask   - This mask smells really nice and left my skin feeling super hydrated and glowing. I liked it a lot.
- Too Cool for School Hydrating Egg Cream Mask- One of my favorite masks ever, it smells really wonderful and luxurious, kind of amber-y mixed with something sweet and leaves my skin feeling really smooth and hydrated. I dig it.
- Tosowoong Refresh Sea Cucumber Essence Mask - This mask left my skin looking really glowy, it's refreshing, hydrating and smoothing with a nice fresh smell.
-Tosowoong Super Aqua Abalone Essence Mask - LOVE! This mask smells really fantastic, it's this fresh perfume-y scent  that I personally really enjoy. It left my skin feeling very smooth, plumped, and hydrated. I like it a lot.
-White Cat Vita-White 2 Times Mask - This was a bit of a weird mask in the sense that it smelled kind of chemically but then dried down to a berry scent. :/ It left my skin very dewy and smooth but... the scent kind of killed it for me to be honest.
-Lovemore Pearl Barley & Milk - What's really cool about this is it's a 100% silk mask so it feels really nice and silky on the skin  and infuses the skin with a nice softness and smoothness. It smells really nice, like a sweet roast-y nutty scent with a bit of a powdery feel. It left my skin looking a lot less red than normal and really smooth. It's not necessarily as hydrating as other masks I've used but my skin feels super smooth.
-Lovemore Rosa Hybrida Mask - Like the mask described above, this left my skin smooth but not as hydrated as other sheet masks I've tried in the past. It smells like roses but it's more of an herbal scent. I liked it ok but I'm not in love with it.
-Lovemore Loofah & Aloe Vera Mask - This is a nicely hydrating mask, moreso than the other two I've tried by this brand. It has a very clean, green, aloe kind of smell, which is nice. Felt pretty refreshing. It was cool.
- Innisfree Skin Clinic Mask Medecassoside  - This mask is supposed to be soothing to irritated skin and help skin rebuild its moisture barrier. Now in terms of rebuilding the moisture barrier, I think that's something that would happen with using several of these masks over time. However, I did find this mask to be incredibly soothing, the redness in my skin had gone down so much that I almost felt this had a whitening/bleaching effect... which is good because the redness was mostly gone but concerning because I'm already very pale and don't need help with that.
- Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Mask in Strawberry  - I keep buying this mask thinking I like it but it's alright. It smells like ground up strawberry seeds which is the oddest scent and works ok, nothing to write home about.
- Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Mask in  Pomegranate- I have to confess that I'm actually really disappointed in this mask because I usually like pomegranate masks. To start, I always notice scent first when I open up sheet masks - if it smells nice, it already gets me ready for a pleasant experience - this smells like chemicals, not pomegranate. In terms of my skin, it feels a slightly bit firmer and refreshed but this isn't as hydrating as I like. It's just ok... :/

2. Sephora Collection Instant Nail Polish Remover Wipes x2: I like to use these on my feet and the dippy kind for the hands, mostly because the actual liquid seems to no longer be available. Anywho, no t no shade, this stuff works really great and is quite generously sized, the only downside is that it dries somewhat quick but if you work fast you can actually get both feet/hands done with one wipe which I think is pretty economical. I think this is good stuff and definitely worth getting your hands on.

3. Tree Hut Soothing Foot Cream Aloe & Peppermint: This was a really nice foot cream. This smells nice; feels refreshing, tingly; and cooling and left my feet feeling really soft. I just wish you got more in the package or it was offered in a larger size.

4. Sephora Collection Eyelashes in Flair: These are kind of a demi lash in that they're not the length of a full lid but the the lash band extends further than say, a half or corner lash would. They look nice on but honestly I wish they were a bit more whispy and had a thinner band. The thick band on them makes them hard to anchor/stick on to the eye and I'm not a fan of that. I notice that they also get gunky with glue faster than some of my other lashes.

5. Bath & Body Works Anti-Bacterial Hand Gel in Fiji White Sands: I feel like I've had this one forever. It smells very perfumey but... also clean. It's alright and I suppose it did a good job of sanitizing my hands.

6. Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist : I used this for quite a few things - a setting spray, a refreshing spray, kind of a primer for my moisturizer. It worked really well for all those purposes, smelled absolutely wonderful - it has that honey-sweet-rose scent I really love and just... I'm so sad to see it gone. I'd definitely pick it up again.

7. Kat Von D Painted Love Lipstick in Backstage Bambi: I absolutely love this lipstick, it's one of my favorite pinks and just looks really fantastic on me but unfortunately it smells really waxy and stale and I have to say goodbye.

8. bareMinerals Skinlongevity Vital Power Infusion: This is a really wonderful serum that feels lightweight, refreshing, and hydrating. I'm so sad that I'm done with it.

9. Head & Shoulders Smooth and Silky Shampoo: This might be tmi but I have had really bad dandruff for a bit and was hesitant to use this because Head & Shoulders, while it took care of dandruff, used to dry my hair out. This didn't and it's getting rid of the dandruff too so I'm a pretty happy camper.

10. Bath & Body Works Deep Cleansing Hand Soap in Wild Honeysuckle:This is such a throwback favorite, I've loved this particular scent for years and years. It does a good job of cleaning my hands. I dig it.

11.  Bath & Body Works Deep Cleansing Hand Soap in Pink Grapefruit : This is a great soap, it leaves the skin very clean and smells absolutely AMAZING. This is one of my favorite scents from Bath & Body Works it's a beautiful, bright, zingy grapefruit that's has notes of powdered sugar and a hint of orange. Yum!

12. Garnier SkinActive Clean Refreshing Remover Cleansing Towelettes: These are my favorite makeup wipes. They smell really lovely, are refreshing, and do an excellent job of removing all but stubborn lash glue in terms of makeup. I highly recommend them.

13. Yankee Candle Coconut Bay Wax Melt: These melts smell nice cold but have practically no throw in my tart warmer and like... within  a use or two I feel like I have to throw them out because they're not doing anything.

14. Sephora Collection Dry Clean Instant Dry Brush Cleaner Spray : This is a skip for me. I do like that it dries really quickly and smells nice but in my OCD opinion it never gets your brushes to where they seem clean unless you spray half the bottle out on them.

15. Bite Beauty Luminous Creme Lipstick in Violet: I am so sad about this because I didn't even use it much but it smells mega stale to the point where it's like... I know it's gone bad. Sadness.

16. Fortune Cookie Soaps Mostly Dead Whipped Cream: This smells really intensely of pumpkin spice and although its a scent I once enjoyed in body products it's no longer the case, I find it incredibly overpowering. The product itself was nicely hydrating but ultimately I think I'd like it better in another scent.

17. Sephora Collection Hipster Lash: These were really weird lashes. They were super fluttery but not in a particularly flattering way. Not my favorite.

18. Tatcha Indigo Soothing Triple Recovery Cream: This is a really, really lovely hydrating moisturizer. It's nice, but to me it's not $135 nice. Had it completely eradicated all the dryness, redness, and congested pores on my skin I'd say "ok yeah $135 is expensive but it's AMAZING" but just for good hydration, I'm sorry but... I won't be getting it.

19.  Algenist Reveal Concentrated Color Correcting Drops in Blue: These have a lovely brightening effect BUT they're kind of chalky so... it's not necessarily my favorite thing ever,

20. NYX Macaron Lippie in Lavender: This smells like wet paint now... it used to smell kind of sweet. It's time to say goodbye and I'm once again sad because this is a color I really liked.

21. Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps 18-in-1 Hemp Almond Pure-Castile Soap: I'm sad to have used this up because it's so good. I use this for mainly one purpose and that's to wash my brushes with. It gets rid of most makeup - although I still supplement with my beautyblender solid for foundations and lip products because those are crazy stubborn but everything else, this works great for. The almond is also my favorite of the scents I've tried thus far.

22. NYX Macaron Lippie in Pistachio : This suffered the same fate as the lavender shade. It smells really gross and paint-like and I just have to say goodbye.

23.Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper: This is a fantastic eyeliner that enables you to get amazing precision and is a nice, opaque black, at least it's opaque enough to make me happy. Mine dried out and I'm sad. I miss it already.

24. Dove Dry Oil Moisture Nourishing Body Wash: I am so torn with this, I love the way it smells but its texture is just... it somehow strips my skin but it feels hydrating. :/

25. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Soft Brown : I liked this but I breezed through it in like a moth, which is the weirdest thing given the Auburn shade lasted me maybe like 2-3 months with the same amount of usage. I think it's a great product but very pricey given what it is and how much they give you.

26.COSRX Ultimate Moisturizing Honey Overnight Spa Mask: This is a really nice gel mask, I wish it smelled more of honey but overall I like how its texture is lightweight and it's easily absorbed by my skin.

27.Tree Hut Shea Sugar Scrub in Passion Fruit & Guava : This smells absolutely amazing - sweet, tart and fruity. It doesn't feel as gritty as the other Tree Hut scrubs I've tried but it was pretty scrubby overall and I like it a lot.

28. Young Face Natural Soap : I'm surprised I didn't like it much in my first review and said it didn't foam well because it does... I used this poor piece of soap up to the size of a pebble and still kept at it and my Clarisonic hoping it would still produce a lather... and with some work it did but sadly it's time to say goodbye. This was a really nice cleanser, it did a good job of cleaning my face without making my skin feel tight or stripped. I liked it. It lasted for like... 6-7 months which was really fantastic as well.

29. Sephora Collection Eyelashes in Mink : What's funny is I used to not really like these lashes, I loved their shape in the packaging but I didn't like that they made my eyes look droopy. Well, after I learned to trim and glue them on properly they're actually really pretty. I'm sad to say goodbye to them but they're in bad shape.

30.Bath & Body Works Country Apple 24 Hour Moisture Ultra Shea Body Cream: The smell of this takes me back to 7th grade, what a throwback. It smells so apple-y and yummy and fresh. In terms of hydration it works well for my legs but not the soles of my feet, where I need the most hydration, those soles something stronger than this. Overall it's ok.

31. COSRX Ultimate Nourishing Rice Overnight Spa Mask: This was a really moisturizing sleeping mask, moreso than even the honey. It's really nice but I think I might like it more in the dead of winter when my skin needs extra lovin' because it's just a wee heavy for me right now.

32. Bath & Body Works White Citrus Deep Cleansing Hand Soap : I remember when white citrus first came out and I said it smelled like a clean, citrusy lemon wafer, which is still the case. It's a really beautiful, refreshing, summery citrus scent that I really enjoy.  The soap does a good job at cleaning my hands. Win/win. :P

33. Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in Menace: This is a really pretty, opaque shade of fuchsia pink with a bit of a blue-ish tinge. I REALLY liked it.

34. Bumble and bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil : This is an incredibly lightweight oil that adds a nice boost of hydration and smoothness to my hair. If I'm going to be honest, I really love the primer from this line more than the oil itself but the oil is pretty good stuff because it is so lightweight and doesn't leave my anorexic hair feeling greasy. It leaves the hair feeling really silky.

35. Trader Joe's Micellar Cleanser & Makeup Remover Towelettes : I have to say these are just ok. They do an adequate job of removing makeup and making your skin feel clean but... they're just not my favorite thing ever.

36. Jurlique Calendula Redness Rescue with Comfort Complex Soothing Moisturizing Cream : This is a really rich moisturizer - you only need a tiny bit and you need to work that tiny bit in your hands so it warms up and melts into the skin. I like it ok but it's overall too thick for me to really love or enjoy it.

Disclaimer: I purchased all of the above with the exception of the nu-pore, Sephora Collection lashes in Flair, Jurlique, bareMinerals, Tatcha, Algenist, Kat Von D liner and . The COSRX, Urban Decay lipstick and Bumble and Bumble were provided as samples-with-purchase.
