The day after Thanksgiving is kind of laid back around here. Hubby usually has to work because he never remembers to put in for the day before the hunters do. I am not a Black Friday shopper. I went once... not my cup of tea. I have a very low tolerance for rudeness and I found just about everyone to be rude on Black Friday. So I usually call my friend, Kathy and we get together. This year one of my sisters was here and we are all knitting comfort shawls, so we had a "stitching" session. It was so nice that we were able to sit out on the back porch... that's unheard of around here in November!
My sister is in the double digits, she has knit a lot of shawls in the past year. Isn't that color gorgeous? I'm knitting my next shawl in the same yarn.
Kathy is "relearning" how to knit. She learned many years ago and has just taken it back up again. She was pretty excited to have five inches knit when it was time to go home.
I desperately needed to get the fringe on my recently completed shawl. I will be posting some photos of the completed shawl this week after it gets mailed out to a very special lady.
