Welcome to Crafting With Jack and What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday. On my desk today I have a blanket/rug I am crocheting, now it started off being for Dolly and it has reached the required size, but I have all that wool left and I am wondering whether to carry on till the wool has run out or not. I am guessing I could double the size. So far it is mostly double crochet with a row of treble crochet along each length. Originally I did 3 rows of treble crochet, but it got out of shape, so I undid two and went back to double crochet. The new hook is marvellous and my hands have been coping well, unfortunately my shoulder continues to play up!
These are my lovely goodies from Sylvia, posting them for the second time because I put the wrong name down last week and also because the ATC coin is so lovely it is worth seeing twice!
Nothing much has got done in the crafting department because we are staying at my husband's sister's place. My husband has been hedge cutting, fixing cracked patio and replacing rotten wood in fence panels. I never know what is happening next so I am reluctant to get crafting stuff out, so I have been crocheting and reading.
Joining in with my fellow deskers at Julia's Stamping Ground.
Just spotted this on the Web - Oh Deer Dear!:
I live in a semi rural area. We recently had a new neighbor call the local city council office to request the removal of the DEER CROSSING sign on our road. The reason: 'Too many deer are being hit by cars out here! I don't think this is a good place for them to be crossing anymore.'
